#13 - Lewis and Clark vs Bill and Ted Commentary

This week's episode gives a little added context to the first ERB of 2015. We also answer some of your twitter questions and then go off on tangents involving making sounds with our body parts. What did you think of Lewis and Clark vs Bill and Ted? Let us know in the comments!

Outro Jams:
Two meandering improv songs. They're rough, but it's how we start to come up with other ideas.

Here me out on this if you are reading this Dante or Peter: Rivers Cuomo guest starring as Buddy Holly

Thanks for answering our question! Since you asked us to comment who won: the forum is really divided over this one. Our poll has Lewis and Clark with 15 votes, Bill and Ted with 13, 4 people saying it was a tie, and one anonymous contrarian who voted for "no one". But I bet if Sacagawea was an option in our poll, everyone would vote for her.

I have to admit I didn't know either team, but I think a quick google search gave enough information to understand the battle and get a lot of the jokes while leaving subtle shoutouts for superfans. I think most of my favourite ERBs consist of historical figures/characters I knew little to nothing about, so having a chance to learn about them is part of the fun. And I think the fact that there's so many of the people you used in ERB within the movies made it such a cool choice! Both the canoe and the CGI in that scene looked great, I had to rewatch that part alone a couple of times! You guys have come so far with special effects Also have to say Sacagawea won that one ahaha

I will totally go watch Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure now, because of this Podcast! Can I make a rap battle suggestion here? How about Prince William vs. Will Smith? They both share a name, like Napoleon vs. Napoleon. Also Will Smith was the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The different ways they're called 'Prince' could be at the root of their quarrel. On that note, avoid including Prince in the battle, he seems problematic! They both have cool back stories, and are pop culture icons, both beloved. Maybe next season? Thanks for your hard work!

well you have to consider not your whole audience is American ... you can do what you love of course, but saying "oh them kids don't pay attention in history class" like Rhett and Link said on their podcast (about people not knowing Lewis and Clark). I have never heard of them because guess what you talk about most of the time in history class in my country. we have enough history of our own ;)
